Fish Scouter is a service of Florida Tackle Supply (“we”). By making an account or using Fish Scouter you agree to these terms. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your information.
A forecast, not a promise
Fish Scouter reads public tide, weather and water data and turns it into a guess at where and when fish will bite. Data can be late or wrong, and fish don’t read forecasts. Fish Scouter is not for navigation: check official charts, marine forecasts and conditions yourself, and decide for yourself whether it is safe to go out.
Fishing rules are yours to follow
Size limits, bag limits, seasons and closed areas shown in Fish Scouter are a summary and can change. The rules published by your state wildlife agency and NOAA Fisheries are the ones that count, and you are responsible for following them and for holding any licence you need.
Your account
Keep your sign-in to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using it. You can delete your account any time from the app (You → Delete account) or on the web at Delete your account.
Memberships
A membership is billed through Stripe and renews each month or year until you cancel. If a free trial is offered, the first charge comes at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for; deleting your account cancels the membership at once. Tackle orders
Tackle bought in Fish Scouter is sold by Florida Tackle Supply. The price, shipping and any sales tax are shown before you pay, and payment is taken by Stripe.
What you post
Catches, photos and spots you share stay yours. By sharing them you let us show them to other members inside Fish Scouter. Don’t post anything that isn’t yours to share, anything unlawful, or anyone else’s private information. We may remove posts or close accounts that break these terms.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive members. Don’t post anything obscene, hateful, harassing, threatening or sexually explicit, spam, or a catch that isn’t real. Every catch on the feed has a ··· menu to report it to Florida Tackle Supply or to block the member who posted it; a catch you report or a member you block disappears for you at once, and you can unblock from You → Blocked members. Florida Tackle Supply reviews reports within 24 hours, removes content that breaks these terms, and stops members who post it from posting again.
Fair use
Don’t scrape, copy or resell Fish Scouter’s data, try to get into other members’ accounts, or interfere with the service.
No warranty
Fish Scouter is provided as it is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or fit for any particular purpose, and we are not liable for losses that come from relying on it.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows when. Continuing to use Fish Scouter after a change means you accept it.
